Michael put them to bed on Saturday evening, and on Sunday morning there were only two. He heard nothing and the dogs weren't barking overnight so all he can think is that a rat got into the shed and took one.
On a good note the other two are thriving, growing well and getting the best of attention from their mother. I watched today as she chased off another hen when it got a little too close to her babies. They are happily wandering about with their mother during the day, learning all the chicken tricks of the trade.
